The first step is the preparation of Aluminum Alloy Conductors. The AA-8000 series aluminum alloy ingots are smelted. During the smelting process, the temperature and alloy composition ratio are precisely controlled. The temperature is usually controlled at 700-750°C to ensure that the alloy elements are fully fused to form a uniform alloy structure. After smelting, the molten aluminum alloy is made into aluminum rods through continuous casting process. Warm water cross-linking is to soak the cable in 80-90°C warm water for a certain period of time, generally 24-72 hours; steam cross-linking is carried out in a high-temperature and high-pressure steam environment, with a relatively short time, usually a few hours. The time and temperature of cross-linking treatment are precisely controlled according to the specifications of the cable and the characteristics of XLPE materials to ensure that the cross-linking degree meets the requirements.
The cross-linked cable is cooled by means of water cooling to quickly cool the cable to room temperature, so that the insulation layer is solidified and formed. During the cooling process, the water temperature and cooling time are strictly controlled to avoid cracks in the insulation layer due to too fast cooling or affecting production efficiency due to too slow cooling.
The cooled cable also needs to undergo a series of quality inspections, including appearance inspection, size inspection, electrical performance inspection, and mechanical performance inspection. Appearance inspection mainly checks whether the cable surface is smooth, the color is uniform, and there are no scratches, etc.; size inspection measures whether the outer diameter of the cable, the thickness of the insulation layer, the diameter of the conductor, etc. meet the specifications; electrical performance inspection includes insulation resistance test, voltage withstand test, etc. to ensure good insulation performance of the cable; mechanical performance inspection includes tensile test, bending test, impact test, etc. to evaluate the flexibility, mechanical strength and impact resistance of the cable.

For domestic short-distance transportation (usually within 500 kilometers), road transportation is generally used, using closed trucks or fence-type trucks.
