Its triplex design integrates three insulated copper conductors—two phase conductors (#4 AWG) and one neutral conductor (#2 AWG)—in a self-supporting configuration, eliminating the need for separate messenger wires.​ Crafted from 99.9% pure electrolytic copper, the conductors offer 100% IACS conductivity, ensuring minimal power loss (≤1.5% at full load). The self-supporting construction, reinforced by a tough XLPE or PVC insulation jacket, withstands spans up to 50 meters, supporting its own weight and environmental stressors like wind (up to 120km/h) and ice loads (10mm radial).​ Insulation options include UV-stabilized XLPE (operating temp: -40°C to 90°C) for harsh climates or cost-effective PVC (-15°C to 70°C) for temperate regions. Both resist moisture, chemicals, and abrasion, complying with NEC Article 230 and IEEE standards. Ideal for connecting utility poles to buildings, this cable balances durability, efficiency, and easy installation, making it a staple in 600V secondary networks.
