Green-Yellow PVC Insulated Stranded Copper Grounding Wire, Available in 10mm² , 16mm² , 25mm² , 35mm² , 50mm² , 70mm²
This product is a green-yellow polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulated stranded copper grounding wire, available in six specifications: 10mm², 16mm², 25mm², 35mm², 50mm², and 70mm². Specifically designed for grounding protection in electrical systems, it serves as a core component to ensure electrical safety.
The conductor is made of high-purity electrolytic copper, composed of multiple stranded fine copper wires. The number of strands and diameter of single wires for different specifications are optimized with increasing cross-sectional area: 10mm² typically consists of 49 strands of 0.52mm diameter copper wires; 16mm² has 49 strands of 0.64mm; 25mm² includes 98 strands of 0.58mm; 35mm² features 133 strands of 0.58mm; 50mm² comprises 133 strands of 0.68mm; and 70mm² consists of 189 strands of 0.68mm. The stranded structure endows the wire with excellent flexibility, facilitating bending and threading installation in complex electrical cabinets, building walls, or inside equipment. It is particularly suitable for scenarios requiring frequent adjustment of wiring paths, while reducing the risk of conductor breakage due to bending.
The insulation layer is made of aging-resistant and wear-resistant PVC material, with a color strictly following international universal standards—alternating green and yellow. This identification is mandatory and unique, clearly distinguishing it from live wires and neutral wires, ensuring it can be quickly identified as a grounding wire in any electrical system, and fundamentally avoiding the risk of misconnection. The thickness of the PVC insulation layer increases with specifications: approximately 1.0mm for 10mm² and up to 1.4mm for 70mm². It boasts excellent electrical insulation performance, capable of withstanding operating temperatures from -15℃ to 70℃, while resisting acid, alkali, oil pollution, and ultraviolet erosion. It can maintain long-term stability even in humid and dusty industrial environments.
In terms of electrical performance, the rated current-carrying capacity of each specification wire matches its cross-sectional area: 10mm² is approximately 50-60A, 16mm² is 65-80A, 25mm² is 90-110A, 35mm² is 110-135A, 50mm² is 140-170A, and 70mm² is 180-220A. All are applicable to grounding circuits with AC 50Hz and rated voltage of 450/750V or below. Its core function is to reliably connect the metal enclosures and frames of electrical equipment to the ground. When a leakage occurs in the equipment, it can quickly conduct the fault current into the ground, reduce the voltage of the enclosure to the ground, prevent electric shock to personnel, and trigger protective devices (such as circuit breakers) to cut off the power supply, avoiding the expansion of accidents.
This grounding wire is widely used in low-voltage power distribution systems in industrial plants, commercial buildings, power stations, rail transit, etc., adapting to the grounding needs of various electrical equipment such as motors, transformers, and switchgear. The product production strictly complies with standards such as GB 50169 and IEC 60445, and passes multiple tests including insulation withstand voltage, conductor resistance, and aging resistance, ensuring low impedance and high reliability of the grounding circuit, and building a solid defense for the safe operation of electrical systems.
